This is the second part of a blog devoted to a phantom pain but in this blog I want to analyze the NewYork Times article in which a decision of a young woman by the name of Morgan Stickney to have her lower leg amputated due to excruciating pain is viewed as a brave decision and the doctors who are the reason she felt as there was no other way to suppress the pain but to have it amputated is glorified.
